Same processor clock speed, same amount of RAM, smaller screen (15"), slower hard drive.
Still WAY faster than my old 17" so far with the i7 chip.

Kinda sucks losing the screen real estate. (My max res is now 1680x1050 instead of 1920x1200) The colour looks a tiny bit better though.

Main reason was for the smaller size though.
I just got tired of the weight and size of the 17"

Gonna take a bit of getting used to the new design. New keyboard, new trackpad, new plugs.
Sure hope I don't regret the loss in screen size.

Got the anti-glare screen too.

Just discovered yesterday that the colour on my Mac was all messed up. But it only affected my user profile and not other profiles on the same computer. Couldn't figure it out. Ended up at the Apple store and stumped one of their techs. Eventually we sorted it out that it was a preference file for "Universal Access" that was the culprit.

After returning home and googling it I see that what had happened was that I was in "Increased Contrast" Mode.

God! How long was I like that?!?!

Want to see what I'm talking about? Hit Ctrl+Option+Command+.(period) at the same time about 3 or 4 times. That's what my screen was displaying and I didn't notice!! (Hit Ctrl+Option+Command+,(comma)  a few times to go back to normal.)

Now I'm looking at art work I've done and catching ALL KINDS of mistakes. (ARGH!)

I just don't get it. Maybe I'm getting old. :-P

3rd screen replacement now. (I've also had the motherboard go on it.) Thank god I got the AppleCare plan or this would've been EXPENSIVE.

Looking for a quick easy practical way to make folder icons for your applications?

Basically I setup some photoshop scripts (actions) that let me create folder icons in seconds.

I have a drive that I store all the installers and DMGs for programs I like on and everything has it's own customized folder like this. It makes it super easy to visually identify the contents of a folder.

My MacBook had to go in for repairs. The Nvidia chip blew up. :-/
